I think it’s interesting that the girl living with him also has one.
The way she talks about Ryuko’s odd ninja-jobs and the fact that she didn’t really react to Ryuko saying “Jonin Shimada” makes me think she isn’t a ninja, yet she still wears it when she goes out? Could be that Ryuko gave her one just to be safe, or something else entirely.

Yeah the chapter felt really short, and i do feel like a page between the jumping and him running up the stairs was missing, even if we can fill in the void, it is an unusual jump in sequence
