Unloading previous chapters.

I was wondering if there's a way of unloading previous chapters. Because while reading, when continuing to the next chapter, It wouldn't load, but when I went to go back the previous chapter, it all was already pre-loaded, so my guess was that the previous chapters is eating the memory needed to load in the next chapters?

and if this is the reason, I'm suggesting having either a feature to unload previous chapters when going to the next one, or a button that will unload all chapters except the one you're currently on.


and if it helps, i'm using a decent laptop.

I'm not an expert in web development (as in, how resources are used/prioritized by webpages), but I don't think that previously loaded chapters affect the loading time of anything else, as they are already loaded and don't need to be loaded again (unless you exit and reenter the reader).

I've had the occasional slow internet when I'm reading mangoes, and it can help to open the chapter and tab out (to let pages load ahead of time). So if I read chapter 1, I would have ~2 tabs open (chapters 2 and 3) so they would load before I was done reading chapter 1.

@moistmeal while i'm not the expert at this kind of things: there's this thing called cache from your lovely web browser. this help your computer remember what you opened in a session. or that's what i heard.

1) The internet was fine, and pretty fast too, but my second thoughts on it now, probably because it was internet from the school, even though most of the chapters loaded in, 1 chapter never seemed to load on alot of manhwas I tried reading, there was just that one that doesn't load.

2) It might be, I tried clearing the cache in both my browser and files. and in my second thoughts, it might've been because it was in a school's wifi? I was able to read the in most mornings, but it still wouldn't load this one chapter in multiple mangas/manhwas, and yah It might have been the schools wifi, but i'm still confused on why just 1 random chapter in multiple mangas.

@MoistMeal Your school network is probably just blocking non-standard SSL ports, similar to most workplaces. Just turn off MD@ H https://mangadex.org/md_at_home/options

Thank you for the help, I'll try that, and since this is kinda solved, do I leave the post here? or is there a way to remove it?
