There hasn’t been a good NTR arc in manga in like 20 years. always b stuttering like “ooh noo don’t worry seee it’s ACHshully not romantic and he’s eveeeeel fr fr”, which makes the whole thing tedious to read as the story just treads water until the MC can predictably reunite long enough to talk-no-jutsu the heroine.
I’d way rather the author attempted to flesh out the characters rather than keeping the whole setting a ramshackle way to stroke off the protagonist for once. Give her conflicted feelings or something, only a few people will burn their tankoubons on twitter -probably.
I spoiled everything (well not really everything but all the main story) in the post at chapter 34. Go read it there. It's a lot which is why I won't post it here.
Go to chapter 34. I posted under a spoiler the 6 volumes of Unnamed memory, over there. Also 4 Volumes of the interlude/spinoff Babel and 3 volumes (so far) of the Unnamed Memory: after the end (sequel) I didn't spoil but I could if you want. Just bear with me since that would be a lot of text also lol
Ahem, let me just say beforehand that the LN is really good and I highly recommend reading it, its finished at 6 volumes
So here we go,
So 400 years ago, Tuldarr was a country of mages who's ruler was the most powerful mage.
So Tinasha and Lanak were the ruler candidates, and they got along with each other as Lanak was Tinasha's most trusted person.
But Tinasha was getting stronger by the day and Lanak was getting butthurt so he devised a plan to steal her power.
One night, he took Tinasha somewhere and Tinasha let him because she trusted him, but this was a mistake because he took her to an altar and binded her, then proceeded to literally open her stomach to extract her organs in some kind of magic gathering ritual.
The ritual ends up going haywire with all the magical energy and destroys the country, killing all the citizens and creating the magic lakes.
Tinasha pulls herself together and gathers the magic inside of herself, turning herself into a witch.
Guess Lanak got some power too, but as Tinasha explained in an earlier chapter, men cannot handle a witch's power so his mental state was diminished.
Anyways, Lanak's plan is to do another magic ritual to gather the power of the magic lakes and take it all for himself. The reason Tinasha is playing along is that this ritual requires some key words that only Lanak knows, the moment he says the key words, Tinasha hijacks the ritual and basically disperses the magic lakes.
These lakes were formed using all the souls of Tuldarr, so Tinasha was basically living ALL THIS TIME for this opportunity to free the souls of her countrymen.
Tinasha does her own ritual and summons Tuldarr's 12 legendary demons, something only the first ruler of Tuldarr was capable to doing. This basically makes Tinasha the ruler of Tuldarr.
Oscar comes in too and is relieved that Tinasha was just playing Lanak.
While Tinasha didnt tell him her plans, shes so happy and somehow knew that Oscar would come for her.
So a skirmish occurs between Lanak's mages and Oscar's forces, and Tinasha's attendants help her instead of fighting.
The mages summon a bunch of monsters, but they get wiped out easily by the 12 demons.
Lanak dipped real fast, but Oscar catches up to him while riding his dragon and satisfyingly kills him.
When the dust settles, Oscar's advisor tells Oscar he should kill Tinasha, and Tinasha is prepared for Oscar to kill her as well and closes her eyes, but Oscar simply knocks her out and takes her home.
When she wakes, Oscar is mad that she didn't tell him anything, and tells her that she's his fiance now (lol)
Tinasha is obviously baffled, but Oscar explains that this is simply the way to keep other countries at bay since Tinasha is now basically a nuclear bomb.
Of course, theres the added benefit of Tinasha being publically acknowledged as his fiance lmao
So that's basically 50% in of volume 2
So Oscar and Tinasha get involved in various magic events while building up their relationship, Tinasha gets so used to Oscar's touch she doesn't mind that Oscar touches her as he pleases.
It gets to the point where Oscar steals a few kisses at romantic times so Tinasha really can't refuse them, it's so cute.
Eventually there's an event that sets things in motion, one day, Oscar gets targeted by an infiltrating mage and gets poisoned.
This is deadly ass poison with no cure so Tinasha basically forces a cure to be produced using her own blood, this causes her body to literally break down which is unimaginably painful but it eventually produces a cure.
After this event, Oscar and Tinasha have a heart to heart,
Oscar: "What am I to you?"
Tina: "You're my contractor."
Oscar: "..."
Tina: "And you're important to me."
Oscar tells her she should really think about it some more (Because it's obvious that she loves him)
In a meeting with the castle mages close to Tinasha when they discuss the poison event, Tinasha takes the chance to ask what they thought Oscar meant, and they're all mentally face palming
"This girl is dense af"
One of the mages go
"Aren't you in love with him?"
And Tinasha is all "........what?"
Tina: "Alright show of hands, who thinks I love Oscar??"
*everyone raises their hand
Tina: "Wtf??"
So Tina goes to Lucrezia to get a second opinion, and she's basically all
"You dense motherfucker"
"Why?!"
"You've loved him for a looong time now"
"I guess the only thing to do now is to kill him..."
"What are you, stupid?"
So that night Tinasha visits Oscar and this is basically how it went:
"Am I in love with you?!"
"Took you long enough, idiot."
That night they finally sleep with each other. YEEEEEBOIIIIIIIIIIII
So now Tinasha isn't a spirit sorcerer anymore ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)
But it's fine since Tinasha as a witch has a lot of power, it's actually a good opportunity for her to fine tune her spells.
Tinasha was never a morning person, but nowadays, people start noticing Tinasha arriving even later then usual ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)
So they're lovers, but Tinasha still doesn't accept to marry him though...
Her reasoning is BECAUSE she's a witch, if they have children, they could inherit a witch's power and be persecuted, Tinasha doesnt want a child to go through that so she's satisfied simply being Oscar's paramour.
Oscar is obviously opposed, and tells Tinasha she should think about it some more and how she should give the child a chance to be born and live. Whatever happens they can deal with it as it comes.
Next a conflict starts with another country.
Its discovered that a witch is pulling the strings simply because she likes conflict, also hates Tinasha.
She's an arrogant prick and half assed about the way she goes about things which makes things easy to exploit.
A bunch of stuff happens which leads to a big plan where Tinasha stealthly takes out all of her magic forces leaving nothing but her and her no.1 subordinate.
So Oscar and Tinasha are about to set off on Nark to head to the battlefield and Oscar proposes to Tinasha again, but this time, Tinasha accepts.
Oscar is baffled she actually said yes, but is also extremely happy.
They prevail over the witch, what it basically comes down in this series is that when Oscar and Tinasha work together, they're basically Invincible. Literally any time something bad happens, it's because they were seperated from each other.
Then they finally get married, and their wedding is so goddamn beautiful. I'm not getting into the details though, but it's awesome.
Theres actually a moment before Tinasha walks in where the Witch of Silence shows up before her, asking her if she's really alright with this.
Tinasha says yes, and Witch of Silence says she wont say anymore then and goes away.
Tinasha finally becomes Oscar's Queen. And they are so damn happy with each other.
Now honestly, you could just end it here and it would be 10/10 ending.
But there is more... but be warned it's not as good
So Tinasha goes back to her tower and is sorting through the treasure of Tuldarr, since shes ruler she has access to the treasure room and is taking the time to sort things out.
Oscar comes and helps her out, but he accidently touches an artifact that sends him 400 years into the past.
He encounters kid Tinasha, and tells her he's her future husband lol
Naturally she's like wtf??
But she allows Oscar to stay with her since he knows so much about her, and they spend a couple weeks together while Oscar tells her stuff and teaches her swordsmanship.
Oscar needs access to the treasure room, but only Lanak has access, so Tinasha has to ask permission for access.
Tinasha gets access, finds the artifact, but can't take it out since she said she to Lanak she only wanted to look, but she casts a spell that would let Oscar in later.
So that night Tinasha casts an invisibility spell and Oscar goes off to the treasure room, but this night so happens to be THE night. Oscar warned Tinasha not to trust Lanak earlier, but she didnt listen and goes with him anyway.
Oscar finds the artifact hoping it would take him back.
Back to Tina, things play out the same as last time, Tina is frightened, and Lanak goes for the stab.
But just as soon as her flesh is pierced, Oscar shows up and saves her at the last second.
Big battle occurs, Oscar kills Lanak again and Tuldarr's destruction is avoided.
So as it turns out, the artifact was unable to take Oscar back.
When he touched it the first time, he was thinking about the pain Tinasha went though and how it would be nice if she didn't have to go through it.
Obviously, he didn't actually want to go and prevent it, since that's how they were able to meet and fall in love, but the artifact doesn't care.
When Oscar was flung back in time, that in itself created a new timeline, the old one is already gone.
Oscar is heavily disheartened, but if he's stuck anyways, he might as well save Tinasha.
As the dust settles and the sun begins to rise, Oscar begins to disappear.
Tinasha cries for him not to go but nothing helps, Oscar disappears and Tinasha is left with nothing but her tears.
End of Arc 1.
Thank you for summary, the manga will take eons to go there and the anime will be probably only 12 episodes as promo of the novels, so at this point just go ahead and summarize the last 3 novels too.
well this chapter actually still placed on early vol 2. if u want, watch the anime. but with a lot of skip i guess. but as i remember on ch3, tinasha is searching for oscar instead.
if u know what that's mean
Could you spoil after the end for me all of it. I’ve finished the main story but it’s not in English so I can’t read it. If there’s a fan translation of it that would also be nice to have too

Sure. I'll quote you possibly tomorrow. As a friendly warning this will be all I could get from japanese forums and review sites since there is no official west release or even fan translations. In fact there aren't even scans or any kind of raw material online and while you can buy them there is no point if you can't read them.
However Yen Press just released last month the first volume of Babel (which has 4 volumes) and it might interest you to read because it takes place in the world of Unnamed Memory just some 300 years in the future. However Oscar and Tinasha will appear there (just their reincarnated forms) BUT it's also part of UM: after the end since it takes place between volume 1 and 2 IIRC.
While there are two new main characters (I've read the whole volume so I can guarantee it) Shizuku and Erick, they are very likeable and the story is as masterfully written as Unnamed Memory was. It expands on the world and lore and as a fan of UM you will get a LOT of references and easter eggs.
Again, having Babel being released gives us hope for an eventual localization of After the end.
So without further ado here's the spoilers for Unnamed Memory -after the end- so far. There are 4 volumes to this day and the information isn't 100% accurate, plus some of it like names and titles could/will most likely change in the eventual localization by Yen Press (just crossing fingers they will pick it up since they don't make much noise about their licenses)
But before that something related to the setting of the novels and some info regarding the ending of UM vol VI.
Unnamed Memory VI small after sequences (not the epilogue) and some info
Oscar and Tinasha became king and queen of Farsas and had three children but they couldn't live happily ever after. After destroying the Outsider artifacts known as "Eleterria" they became the Eleterria itself. Granting them the ability to reincarnate after dying. This of course come with disadvantages: (remember them because this is the main gimmick of this new story, comparable to the time travel/loop of the previous work)
1. They don't know WHEN they will be reborn. It can be a couple of decades to centuries. So if one of them die, the other won't know when they will revive.
2. They don't know WHERE they will be reborn. This is a big problem because they could be reborn anywhere in the world, even the unknown continents!
(Note: this is taken from volume 1 of Babel, spin off series of the UM novels. There are other continents which were explored and colonized in the past by the people of the main continent, known world of UM. So according to Erick, one of the two main characters of Babel, it is believed they have similar customs, beliefs, level of society, knowledge including magic and religious ideals as the people in the known world. However it is not certain since they don't have a sort of contact to each other).
3. They lose their MEMORIES of past life (lives if they have reincarnated more than once) at birth. This is a huge issue because the remaining member (be it Tinasha or Oscar) not only will need to find the other but also made them fall in love again. (However there's a saving grace here I'll explain soon).
4. Since they are born from new parents they are like new beings. This could make it difficult since they will have to regain their powers again but this is not precisely that bad.
5. The remaining member will live in depression for decades until the other one is revived, found and met by him/her.
Now the good points of their power as Eleterria:
1. They will be reborn as "new beings" with "new names" but they will always LOOK THE SAME. So Oscar's reincarnation (Rajuu will look like Oscar prince of Farsas looked back then, from kid to teen to adult. (So this makes it a bit easier to the grieving heart of the other).
2. While they lose their memories at birth they will also REGAIN THEIR MEMORIES at certain point in their lives or at certain events. Eventually identifying themselves as Tinasha or Oscar.
3. No matter how or when they die they will also recover their powers. Tinasha her power as the witch of the Azure Moon and Farsas style swordmanship (remember, the very last time travel after UM set history on its original track. So they became the king of farsas and the witch of the Azure moon.) Meanwhile Oscar will regain his physical and mental abilities, enormous amount of magic (though he can't use it per se) and a "new" ability to summon the anti-magic sword Akashia the mage killer from his right hand.
As a side note: sadly most characters from UM will be dead in this story (save the witches like Lucrezia and some demons such as Milla and Cal) because it takes place several centuries after UM, they aged and died. (Sure some witches will still appear since all of them stopped aging)
Okay so that being said.
Unnamed Memory -after the end- vol I
Tinasha and Oscar leave their children behind and step down as queen and king of Farsas with Akashia in hand after the information of an Outsider artifact appearing.
They fought with all they had to destroy it but in the fight Oscar was fatally wounded and died. Tinasha grieved his death and suffered for 90 years, living in solitude and sadness until she found the reincarnated Oscar, a boy named Rajuu who didn't know her.
The second half of volume I revolves around a romcom with Tinasha trying to make Rajuu fall in love with her in a clumsy way, but she looks like an young woman while Rajuu is a teenager which kinda makes him feel awkward.
Eventually he will awaken his memories as Oscar and with them his powers. Tinasha will try to make Rajuu fall in love and get married.
Unnamed Memory -after the end- vol II
Tinasha and Oscar (Rajuu) reach Farsas where a cursed king of that era, Disral is provoking wars on the continent. He is obsessed with the bloodline he inherited from Oscar and Tinasha which is the blood of the witch. It drives him mad to the point of insanity but he is very manipulative. In an attempt to help him, Tinasha falls by his machinations and fooled by Disral, Tinasha opens the outsider's artifact which ends with her getting killed (Sadly Oscar was fighting outside the room because Tinasha never imagined her descendant would hurt her and she felt a bit responsible for his cursed blood).
The first and only time Tinasha gets killed by her own descendants of Farsa. This puts Rajuu, (Oscar reborn) into a deep depression for losing her. Still he manages to solve the problem but at the highest cost.
Oscar spent 60 years awaiting until he found Tinasha reborn as a little girl named Liesche, the young princess of Anneli who was locked in the highest tower since birth (this time Tinasha was born as in the Anneli royal family).
The king of Rozark, Ortheen, after invading Anneli took her as a hostage and locked in his castle because of her magic potential and I suppose her beauty, despite being a mere child. But Oscar pretending to be a government worker for quite some time managed to rescue and take her away with him.
Meanwhile "BABEL" takes place. This is some 300 years after UM, to be in the context of timeline.
During that time (the events of Babel) Rajuu (around 20 yo looking now) and Liesche (some 8 yo but looking younger) fell in love again (Tinasha awoke her memories soon this time). They meet Shizuku and Erick (main characters of Babel) during this time but their mission is different than theirs.
Here, the fourth volume of "BABEL" ends and with it the conclusion of the whole story.
In the second half of the volume, Oscar and young Tinasha embarks on a journey to the eastern continent that takes place several months. They're mission is to find a new outsider artifact that was seen there to destroy it.
Unnamed Memory -after the end- vol III
This time Tinasha has grown into her early 20's and Oscar remains in his mid 20's. Remember they stop aging at certain age.
Additional information: Lucrezia makes an appearance as a similar Lucrezia from act 1 of UM (same 30ish yo appearance and still the best friend of Tinasha NOT the Lucrezia from act 2 who was a teenager trapped in time inside the Outsider artifact in the form of the mirror for those who forgot).
In their long journey searching for the Outsider's artifacts, Oscar and Tinasha meet a pair of brother (Lotsi) and sister (Faras), children who are looking for their father and older sister, separated by war.
Oscar decides to take care of them while helping them search for their father while Tinasha agrees. They take care of the children, teaching them in the process during 7 years.
During that time they get entangled in the conflicts of a neighboring country of Noidea and its exiled prince, Ruth and his childhood friend Rig.
Then news of a fantastic new town reach their ears. It's a magic town of happiness with all the suspicion it may be an Outsider's artifact doing. They leave the children (now older) their new house and belongings to look for said place without knowing this would be the last time they saw the children.
In the town of happiness they fight to destroy a new artifact but in doing so they also get the worst result as both of them die in each other's arms.
Before their reincarnation Tinasha learned a new truth from the order of Outsiders. They destroyed more than 6 artifacts so far out of the 13, meaning them, as the Eleterria will have to eventually be destroyed too! Also their memories won't be waking up more frequently.
Furthermore, there is no guarantee they will ever meet during their new life time (as foreshadowing it actually happens at the end of the volume it seems).
Meaning even if they reincarnate, there is no guarantee they will remember they are Oscar and Tinasha or even meet in their entire "new lives". This also means they won't necessarily love each other the next time they are reborn with every new artifact destroyed, the chances become slimmer.
Additionally, the "experiments" of these Outsiders (observers of the effects of the artefact in the world of UM) won't stop unless the entire group of 13 members agree to it (which would be impossible).
And so one of them is reborn and lives an entire life but never meets the other but on dreams. Before dying again, they wish next time they can meet again. Just then the one is born. Breaking the heart of every reader to this point.
Unnamed Memory -after the end- vol IV
Tinasha and Oscar reborn as new beings start off as a married couple from the very beginning of this volume.
They continue their jorney around the world in search for the remaining Outsider artifacts that are interfering with the natural order of the world. Let's remember this artifacts are alien objects placed in this world by sentient beings (presented as shadowy humanoid figures in the story but they are basically identical to humans from another world/dimension from what you get throughout the story).
These artifacts have different shapes, forms and effects on the world and they basically twist the natural laws of physics and reality in this world. Remember also, Akashia is one of these instruments, although not an artifact of the same kind (because Akashia is a sword created to destroy the artifacts by the first queen of Farsas who stayed in that world and married the first king after granting him the sword from within the lake of silence, said Lake even took the ability to nullify magic because of Akashia).
As an additional piece of information, Oscar can use a hand gun now (from my understanding he can turn Akashia into a gun. Remember since he merged with Eleterria, Akashia became part of him so he can summon the sword with his hand. So I'm guessing he does the same with the form of a gun).
The first destination is a new continent, or rather an abandoned continent where civilization used to be but after several hundred years only a few natives remained. In this green land taken over by nature, Oscar and Tinasha meet a lone girl, Naphea, who's been living there, descendant of the original inhabitants. They learn the circumstances and way of life in this land from the girl.
The fist half of the volume is very much slice of life with a good pace and a new dynamic between the two. With both of them exploring ruins and finding the old history of the abandoned continent (think of it Indiana Jones x UM). The second half however will reach a more serious tone by the end.
In the second half of the volume, Oscar and Tinasha travel to another new continent with a peculiar situation. It is a continent where magic was forbidden and kinda forgotten (remember the original inhabitants of the continent of UM went to explore the world and "colonize" the eventual new continents, creating cults to other beings classified as Gods but the old ones or perhaps the laws of the world such as magic alienated in a way or many ways those continents be it as punishment or consequences of that separation).
The new "mechanical" continent is very similar to the United States in the years 1940 (more or less). People have developed motor cars and other commodities similar to our world but they still seek the knowledge of magic. In fact their biggest dream and fear (of that society) is magic, that which was forbidden by the gods to them.
So Oscar lives as a courier, which is a convenient facade to explore in search of a new artifact traveling here and there with his wife Tinasha (more than half of them have been done with by now).
It's also explained how they had to adapt to this new culture and tecnology.
Additional info is the emphasis of the author with Oscar dressing up Tinasha as a doll (just this is modern era clothing). Don't forget that's one of his pleasures in every timeline since the original.
However problem will arise from an unknown place and a new fight against the outsider artifacts begin anew.
In the conclusion Tinasha is killed yet again, leaving a sour taste of the ending.
So this is all organized in the best way I could. I hope it helps and let's pray this will be localized some day.
Pd.
I share your pain. Even I felt anxious by reading all this (both the content of the novels and the longass post lol). My biggest hope is for Oscar and Tinasha to get a happy end but with this author that's just a wish at this point.
