They occur at least a few times before the story finally concludes, and it wasn't really a happy one, from what little I can recall in the spoiler.

this might just make me stop reading the manga then, I actually think that, just from this point of view that I hold, only with this last current chapter, those things seem totally unnecesary and just add some degree of "difficulty" to the reader... If I must ask, does the decision to add such themes to the series actually hold some type of weight? or is it kind of "unnecesary", even more if we take into account the "conclusion" that the story wants to give
