If I understood the end correctly:
So she brought the guy back from the digital world, but then is now responsible for having the two worlds merge in some weird cancerous/mutative way. And the guy is right next to the epicenter of it. His chance of survival is probably low. As for her, who knows what happened. The most likely conclusion is death through the combination of the two worlds.
Basically she saved the guy, but then doomed the guy while also making him experience the death of his partner. Kind of a really bad move.
