Nothing significant has happened between chapters 65 and 66, nothing we could've realistically been shown. Summer break ended, they are back to school; Rumi and Akira's relationship is somewhat estranged because Rumi still needs to sort out what she thinks and feels about Akira, so their awkwardness is apparent to the others. I don't think Akira told anyone else, for one, the teacher is still acting hush-hush about it; and it would be a disastrously horrible idea anyway.

I am concerned about page 2 however, too much focus on Rumi saying Yeah, that's right. It looks like she does not mean it, so it could be that she's thinking of those things in relation to Akira, or could be that she's got a boyfriend.

high school kids, esp high school girls, are really keen on interpersonal relationships. even if no one says anything, everyone can see rumi and akira have a slight tension between them. rumi is trying to sort out her feelings

as for the "why does rumi say that" I personally think it's because she's trying to not cause more waves. she's a rather considerate person and most likely didn't want to cause MORE friction after the other two just said "sex and babies do not matter to us", even if the discussion is a non-issue in the grand scheme of all things

Not from what I can find. Then again, I am not a native speaker of Japanese. I rely on the internet.
I could not find Sugino. I found Sugina, which means "cedar."
I did find Seria, which according the the website can be female or unisex, and means "star."

There is already another character in the story that is implied might be a male to female transgender high school teenager. Late in Chapter 31 and into Chapter 32, while Akira returns to an empty classroom to retrieve her forgotten cell phone in her desk, she comes upon Kazuki Tsukumo. Kazuki is in the deserted classroom, trying on a female wig, to see what they look like, and if is makes them look feminine. Plus they are searching for something on the Internet with their iphone. When Akira sees Kazuki wearing the wig, he grabs Akira, and threatens her with bodily harm if she ever tells anyone what she has just seen. Akira agrees to keep silent about what Kazuki was doing in the empty classroom. Later, Akira seems to become sympathetic toward Kazuki, what she saw happining in that classroom, and Kazuki's dilemma. This chapter strongly implies that Kazuki may be the person who also has male to female gender concerns, similar to Akira's gender issues. But this is just speculation at this point. Ones will have to wait for the managka to reveil who this person with the same 'gender condition' is, sometime later in the story.
