Why is Akira so afraid about her mom finding out?

@blurgh123 it's because her mom still sees her as a boy. In this world, though the least so in this generation, it's weird to want to be the opposite sex and do things that 'correspond' with that gender. This is true even if Akira has become a girl, as she was birthed and raised initially as a boy. She feels she'd be betraying her mother in a way, or lying, as from the beginning it seemed like Akira wanted to go back to his life being a boy. In real life, it's incredibly hard to talk about these things, especially the longer you draw it out, as your family is supposed to know you best. After all, Akira's mom is doing all of these things in hopes of helping her 'son', and it would be hard to take knowing she had only brought her more pain. (sorry this is long)

All of this could be fixed if they have the talk, im sure her mom knows but is ignore/denying it in her mind because she still believes MC wants to become a boy still. MC is young and confused so i hope they talk it out as soon as possible.
