Unrelated to the chapter but I'm wondering about Kirei Cake. I've seen the "I need to take care of my sick mother" note for years now and I'm wondering if it's actually legit. Like I get there are long term illnesses but could you not just name the illness rather than leaving it vague? This all sounds pretty dodgy imo

Me: Stella asks for money for her mother's illness.
Me: We don't know if that illness exists, or even if her mother exists.
Me: No-one else sees a penny of this money.
Me: No-one knows how much that money is or what she does with it.
Me: And no other members of Kirei Cake find this suspicious?

As someone who has been in that kind of position since before covid, I’m inclined to believe illness would be a catch all term for a mixture of things that would take too long to explain/be over sharing.

I still find it kind of weird that we don't even know where this money is going, I saw some people on Reddit talking about it, they made some pretty damning accusations

Probably shogun did not kill her.

I was gonna comment watch it not be the shogun she named as she died, but that person would know more or what actually happened, most likely leading to a comedy of misunderstandings, sword fights, and then the inevitable “huh?” moment.
