@Abetillo

"Almost no one has read a gore comic", Oh boy, a heavily generalized statement about everyone's lack of understanding about your self-proclaimed niche. I remember making these a lot back in college. lol

I was like you a while back too when it came to RPGs. I used to run around correcting people about the definition, even though games that are 'technically' RPGs are almost nonexistent compared to the hundreds of modern RPGs today. (there are some watered down Wizardry clones on handhelds atm, but nowadays a lot of action games are defined as RPGs). Fact is, entire generations are growing up with games like Fallout being called RPGs. Am I supposed to argue with their entire childhood to correct them? lol

My advice to you is to only bring up your definition while keeping common sense in mind. Because if "most people" don't know your niche and those same "most people" are into a niche that goes by the same name that has held ground for decades, they'll only get confused if you argue while they don't know your stance on the definition.

It's like telling someone "I'd like a drink" when you're at an American bar. They serve you alcohol and you argue for ten minutes as if the problem is obvious, only to finally say "Uuhh, no one would serve that this time of day where I come from ." and you happen to come from some country in Africa with niche alcohol rules.

No one is really at fault in that situation if you aren't aware it's an issue to start with, but you can avoid some unnecessary back and forth once you know. And that's ten minutes you could be sipping dat good ol African vitamin C!

@BakedBanana I think it's pretty dope. I started with Negima back in 2011 (when it already had a lot of chapters) and got hooked. This manga doesn't cement itself as a sequel until later chapters because there's so much background to cover to help blend it for new and old readers alike(he did really well with it), but the pacing and romcom ratio is spot on. Akamatsu-sensei always wanted to do a legit shounen and this was his chance to go at it. He decreased the romcom and ramped up the action compared to what we saw even in the later chapters of Negima(Magic world arc was practically a different manga from Vol 1 of Negima, it gradually evolved up to that point of course, definitely worth a read if you haven't read it). So yeah there's never too much of a break between arcs.

I always encourage people to read Negima first but it is a long manga. To me that's a good thing but it's not for everyone.

Thanks, I have read the original and it's ones of my favorite mangas.
I've been thinking of giving it a read but have been holding off since I wanted to wait until it finishes but I guess I'll give it a go pretty soon.

@BakedBanana Awesome! My bad, I should've asked if you had read MSN. My last advice is not to feel discouraged by Touta. Just try and imagine he's Nagi....or Konoka but with more spunk. His character development starts off really slow and then spikes and only goes up from there. It can be hard for some readers to empathize with him because he's so positive.

Also if you have any questions about certain powers feel free to ask me. One of my biggest headaches back in Mangafox forums(RIP) was watching people who clearly didn't reread the tournament arc and beyond(MSN) spewing hate because they didn't remember the details (you'll see what I mean). The confusion ended as Akamatsu's writing got better, but I don't believe he's at fault...

P.S. Despite what you saw a page back this is easily one of the chillest communities. I actually read on Mangahere most of the time but I lurk both comment sections. I'm the guy that quotes chapters as if I read them yesterday. lol

I don't know if this comment will be actually reach in the Translating group of uq holder, but whatever.
In the latest chapter (chapter 167) page 25 Evangelline uses her spell "thousand year frost flower", and
the author (who does better homework in this that I ever did) uses a Greek Name for the spell,
"Άνθος Παγετού Χιλίων Ετών".
So there's a tiny bit of mistake from the translator group in the Greek name (I'm NOT blaming you guys in any
way or another, for as far I know, this could be the author's mistake).
You see, In Greek the letter "Π" is pronnounce like "P" in english, and the Greek letter "P" is pronnounced like "R" in english.

That's all. It's not a grave mistake (save for greeks who happen to be grammar nazis, like me).
If anyone from the scanlation group (or someone who know them) sees it, be kind to contact the ones who work with UQ holder.
Thanks.

so.. no chapters at all? is it due to copyright takedown?

maybe the owner/admin of MangaDex should at least put up a notice.

I'm only here to express that I was momentarily delighted at the short yet sweet Negi X Eva moment that I've longed for ever since I was but a wee teen.

My god, that moment is just so fucking hot
