Ooooh, interesting. Yet another one where the horror wears a human face. I guess Ms. Oonawa is rather sociopathic, huh? Able to swap between sniveling and supercilious... keeping her dad tormented by killing part-timers, out of love for him and her sister. A "perverted sentimentality" underpins many many ghost stories, but I enjoyed this portrayal of family dynamics, the complicated feelings of one-sided familial love, the way a parent can mistreat (experiment on, even) their own child...
