In the original, his accent mostly appeared as words written in katakana instead of kanji or hiragana (to show he was pronouncing them strangely), but some of the expressions he used, like the "Hurry up!", were English transliterated into katakana, i.e. "Harri appu!". Following the traditions of our forefathers, he was made German instead (Ace Attorney's Manfred von Karma was an American in the original Japanese lmao).It would be interesting to know what accent the original Japanese was going for - I'm assuming it wasn't vaguely German?
