It's more known as pareidolia. Apparently the japanese also call it the simulacra phenomenon. It looks like only japan uses that word to call this physiological phenomenon.
oh huh, dead person reappearing and acting like normal... we sure do get a lot of those in these stories. One thing that this mangaka has managed to convey very thoroughly is that the afterlife is a real place, and it HATES you.
