Why is a science researcher dude doing his research in what looks like a high school?
He would assumedly be a student then, but why was a student allowed to borrow anything?
How did he make and research the magic circle?
How did he know it works, when it kills you upon use?
How can MC say he never claims debts from civilians, if he then is claiming a debt from this civilian that happened to be researching magic, what made him so different?

The whole intro was just kinda dumb.

I mean, maybe he's a teacher there or it's an university club or something.
But yeah, dropping dead when you make the funny circle and chant the silly words is about as realistic as if truck kun had burst through the wall and clipped him right then and there.
And it wouldn't be the first time I saw that happen, though i don't remember where it was.
