RIP that lady and her dog I guess.

The chapter kept its ambiguity to the end but there's still an unseen anomaly (that I doubt is a mere bear), capable of tearing people apart so terribly that only scraps of clothing remain, lurking in those woods. And bullets are only effective on some of them under specific circumstances.

We do find out what's at the end of the path, and what happened to Todate and Hana, in vol. 9.
I promise you it is far more horrifying than whatever you're imagining.

Sort of peaceful, sort of chilling..... I think the kind of nerves it takes to be alright with that long dark uknown path right outside such a house.... can probably deal with whatever else she needs to deal with.

the really bad implications come when you realize the otherside is constantly scanning her brain & it's entirely possible that those prophetic dreams only become prophetic because the othersiders saw them & went "yeah, guess that makes sense lol" & their eventual fate is (arguably) Sorawo's fault
Don't think this even needs a spoiler with how Sorawo immediately spits out the exact netlore story, Japanese mythology, or urban legend for almost every arc they've been in like an encyclopedia.

Can you spoil me? I'm the kind of person who'd rather skip a chapter with a dead dog.

i think it does because it confirms that these bad premonitions are completely true & something horrible is gonna happen to them & people will definitely see that as a spoiler & get mad lol... also i don't wanna be confrontational here but honestly what you said doesn't even really hold water because she already gave the exact lore behind the mayoiga & "bad thing at the end of a creepy-ass path next to the building" wasn't part of it lol. the fact that it's connecting to her vast knowledge of netlore isn't a spoiler, true, although at this phase one can argue that it's still not entirely clear if the netlore came from other peoples' past otherside experiences (meaning this is just the place repeating actions that sorawo's nerd ass just doesn't have trouble recognizing) or if the otherside is building its scares on the fly based on what it sees that she knows... but in this case it's a pretty benign myth & the negative aspects are coming from sorawo's natural fears provided by the outside context (where the building actually is, how every benign-seeming thing in the otherside usually seems to be worse news than the openly hostile shit, etc, and that's all¹ sorawo's brain at work. the next volume (6) is explicit confirmation of this, since it's entirely about how it keeps tapping into her brain to try new shit in order to "communicate", with ever-increasing cleverness/deceit and aggression since she's (basically) the most otherside-integrated target who hasn't broken yet. also since the fate of hana and todate isn't revealed until vol 8, the entire sentence is kinda double-spoilers, lol

¹ with the variance in dreams most likely being a little help from the otherside prodding & offering suggestions to nail down exactly why the dark path is scary/what's expected to happen, since she mostly just thinks it's intimidating as fuck & with each dream it can only guess "is the road what's scaring you? is it because you were scared of being an intruder & the owner of the house would come that way? so these two would be in danger first because they're there all the time, but... idk, does that make a car scary in this context? would it need to be fancier like a carriage so you know it's the house's owner? am i totally off and you just think a monster is gonna come from there? help me out man this doesn't match any of your stupid stories and i have a spook quota to meet" lol.
yes i'm adding light spoiler blocking here as well because even though i'm joking around, it still isn't explicitly confirmed to be how things work quite yet & every time i confirm something before the story does (even if it seems really obvious) and don't put it in tags someone gets mad lol
