On the surface, I feel like I shouldn't like this manga. And it doesn't have that "wow!" factor for me. However, something about this manga makes me read it in its entirety multiple times over the years and really enjoy it each time. One of my favorites.

Urusei Yatsura is a manga that I read from start to finish at least once a year. It is so funny and there are so many references to 70s and 80s Japanese culture. It is one of Rumiko Takahashi's hidden gems. :)

They're releasing a new version in English in the US. It's on Kindle, too. https://amzn.to/2MvZMlC

decided to finally read through this and thank god I did since I finished reading the missing chapters on Kiss right before it went down.
watched through the anime at least twice over the years and while it's definitely a product of its time, I still absolutely love this series. Still hoping one day Takahashi decides to come back to it even if its just a volume of omakes or a short time-skip epilogue.

They're probably deleting the chapters as they get officially released. I'm subscribed to the Kindle version and they're up to like volume seven or so. It's a copyright thing.

The Kindle is worth the money. The quality is sooooo much higher. And the volumes are HUGE.

ILM's scanlations are part of internet history and should be preserved.
