I'm one of the few who likes the ending.

Her main reason for rejecting Daikichii was that she didn't want Kouki and Rin living under the same roof because of Kouki's questionable behavior. She's worried he might sexually assault Rin.

If this didn't have the you-know-what ending, Daikichi should have asked the mom to live together while the kids were still young! They both would have reduced their burden by combining chores, and Daikichi would have probably stopped Kouki from straying.
Too bad he asked the mom out when it was too late...

I’m only reading this because I heard people hated the ending. Now I’ve remained spoiler free, but seeing this chapter I can only imagine one thing coming from it. Lol when this was coming out, did people really think it would go a different way?
