It's somewhat tough to read since the chapter is actually composed of mini-episodes and yet doesn't look like it, but I'll stick with this. It reminds me a lot of how I managed to keep teaching for so long: the work may be shit but interacting with students is the best.

... at least, until the pandemic hit and amplified the shit.

June 3 (Thu)​

Today I saw Kouhei walking with a girl on the hallways. No matter how anyone looked at it they're like a couple. It probably is under the pretence of a career consultation, but it looks like Kouhei enjoys it. I hope it's just my imagination. Next time I want to say something impactful like "I'm going to shift tracks and choose Ethics to apply to public universities," and spend as much possible time talking to Kouhei. But I'm happy just being in the same class as Kouhei. If I really did shift strands then we'll probably be far away so I won't do it. I seriously think of choosing Ethics as a subject for the entrance exams. Anyway, I'm focused right now on doing my best on decreasing the time Kouhei spends with other girls.

June 4 (Fri)​

Today, I went to the faculty room even though I had no reason to. While I pretended to talk to other teachers and peeked at Kouhei, I saw he was wearing glasses. Kouhei normally doesn't wear glasses nor contacts and his eyesight is supposed to be really good so I wondered then I saw Kouhei using a PC. I see. It's a blue light glasses. I forgot that there was that trick. I understand. Your eyes get tired. You're always working hard. In any case it was a new discovery. Of course normal Kouhei looks good but adding glasses massively increased his handsomeness. Basically, glasses are justice. Then I thought about it, maybe Kouhei guessed when I was coming and wore glasses on purpose. I think that's why. Maybe he likes me because he wants only for me to see. But since Kouhei pretended to not know I'm also going to pretended that I don't know too. And I don't want anybody other than me seeing him in glasses moving on. To not increase people who misunderstands any further. And it's okay for him to cut blue light secretly only for me. But, if his eyes get tired and there's no choice then I don't mind him wearing the glasses as normal. Prioritise health first.
