I'm guessing that we'll have a chase sequence in two parts, stretched-out over more than two chapter. In the first part, the retrieval team will chase and capture Ponko. In the second part, Grandpa and some of the other characters will chase the retrieval team. The mangaka's attempts at slapstick humor during the sequence will be nauseous.

So the author dropped that whole bittersweet theme from the beginning of the manga about how both Yoshioka and Ponko were in their twilight years and running out of time, with a grim reaper cameo and everything, just to keep the series running much longer than it needs to?
