i didn’t know i could fall in love even more with this manga.

crazy how amazingly well craft the stories is. i feel bad for gramp. he really don’t want to admit it but he’s lonely after losing his wife.

i got caught off guard that Ponko is the name of his wife lol. I think reading back this series once it is done will be a huge treat.

uvarine: gen's late wife's name was yoshioka chiaki. he is calling for ponko in the dream, but his wife came instead, because dreams are weird.

That moment when you realize that you're in a dream but it still continues... It's scary that you can't just wake up the normal way.

I mean, he returned to his birth town with the express goal of living out the rest of his days in some peace and quiet. So, basically, he gave up on life altogether after her death.

He did call her useless a lot, though, which is where Ponko's name came from.
