@Snakeykid1 You can see trace of technologies far more advance than our here and there in past chapters. Also, rural small towns like this tend to stay the same even when technologies evolve due to the residents are mostly old folks or those who like life this way.

@dsid2814 This manga took place in the future and the past of this manga is our near-future. You can see the technologies are more advanced than us.

We can just compare some remote rural towns and cities with the big metropolis cities in the present day, it's like you're travelling through time a decade or two back to the past. It might have some convenient and useful tech available, but the building and facilities are usually way older.

I believe the original observation about the F-35 was concerning the fact that the cockpit appeared to be suited for a human pilot, despite the notation that it was "unmanned". However, there are plenty of examples of vehicles in our world that can be operated by people and AI units alike. The appearance of the cockpit interior is irrelevant since we don't (yet) know how their AI pilot unit was implemented, or what it looks like.
