so all of these guests were already dead or in the brink of perishing?because what i got is the inn is a metaphor for afterlife or something and the landlady is like an angel or human mind or even the subconcious thinking of the guests

Can someone explain the 2 last pages?
Are they an subtle way of saying that the inn keeps going? Also, what is Bantou really? He's clearly not human.

God, this manga's title is so raw. But it's not the only thing I love about this, the mesmerising art, the tear-jerking individual stories that all lead up to the (albeit rushed) beautiful conclusion... All make for an amazing story about death, regrets and moving on. I hope I lose my memories just so I can experience this all over again
@Emerane with the inn effectively being the barrier between life and death within some sort of purgatory world, I'd imagine that it would run forever, yeah. And with Bantou as its seemingly eternal attendant (since the inn needs at least one, anyway), I think it's reasonable to assume Bantou is some sort of caretaker of the dead

This one is a gem. Loved the ending, give it read if you like different endings. You won’t regret it.
