I finally finished reading this.

Had to give this a re-read. For some reason I kept getting that itch of revisiting, and I'm glad I did.

One of the more underrated classics. Hopefully one day more people give it a shot.

really blows my mind how well this aged, definitely a battle shounen classic

The final twist brought everthing together. Tora and Ushio's great strides changed Japan and the world for the better and the darkness was beaten back. Many sacrifices were made but not in vain. Its hard to sell a story of hope against despair but few stories carry despair like Hakumen no mono and few heroes bring hope like Ushio and Tora. My 3rd reading and I love as much as the first time. Thanks again to the scanlators and to Fujita ofc.
