Compare him to the beginning of volume 2, the face looks larger, more mature but also more generic.

It was very realistic, especially considering the FML had some bad history with boys before MC came along. If that sort of drama happened in a character's backstory, the plot following that should show a similar level of realism, imo.

If there wasn't any sort of serious drama from the get-go and it's all ecchi rom-com, then this development wouldn't be too unexpected, kind of like To Love-Ru.
