I am kinda confused. Apparently they can't tell where they are by determining which turns they took, when they were escorted to their starting area.

If someone is wondering, why Baku is confused try drawing the labyrinth yourself. (Assuming the start is A6) , he is currently on D5. Baku came from D6 to D5, he failed trying to go to D4. He had failed in his first turn in entering D5 from C5( that means C5 is not the right way and he just came from D6 thus only leaving one route E5. But that's also BLOCKED.
