So THAT'S how Kyara got his scar. Also, I'm not quite sure if I got the importance of "biting his lip for the other". Is is it like sharing the other's pain? Could someone explain?

I think the person's goal was to make Kyara recognize the vial as peroxide and then invalidate the real game, which is why he literally threw it at Kyara. And then Kyara basically ignores it for Baku's sake. I think in this case biting his lip is literal (clearly), but the idea is that Kyara will see Baku's goal through to the end, no matter what objections he himself would have, in this case being the redemption thing being bullshit.

That's my take on it though, @catx3 may be able to verify or correct whatever I missed.

@Veshv The dude didn't deliberately throw the peroxide at Kyara. Baku was trying to get a referee to react to his mediocre second deal to establish that cheating was not something tolerated, so that he could later indirectly threaten the dude to accept his own conditions. Kyara went with that, and pretended that the vial that hit him was water, so that Baku would get what he wanted. Even if the vial didn't hit Kyara, he would've probably touched the vials' remains in some way and burn his skin intentionally to achieve the same results.

I'm guessing the lip biting this time around was essentially to remind Yakou of that time he realized both Baku and Kyara were basically working together; telling him "now it's your opportunity to climb with me to the top", or something. Like as a sort of motivator to win.

Not to make him drink the peroxide, but to help Baku blackmail the opponent into making favorable rules for the next match. Because the match they played was just a 'redemptive' match, there was no money wagered. So if Kyara revealed the peroxide and the cheating, he would have had to kill the man for breaking the rules right there, and Baku would receive nothing from the gamble.

Since Kyara didn't reveal the cheating, it's implied that Baku was able to set up a favorable match that allowed him to take everything from the man (a second time lol).

About the vial throwing, I agree with tack, I don't think it was intentional to reveal the peroxide to Kyara, it seemed more like he just panicked because he didn't want to drink the peroxide. Because since it hit Kyara, Kyara had evidence that there are 2 peroxide vials (since the man wouldn't choose peroxide intentionally), and had every right to purge him according to the rules which stated there would only be one peroxide vial.

Perhaps the opponent wanted to spill it without hitting anyone, and try to proclaim that it was just water and just hurry over to the next match and hope everyone buys it. But as tack said, even in that case Baku would've probably threatened to touch it and reveal the cheating anyhow.

You guys are right, I wasn't thinking far enough ahead with the peroxide. If the man's goal was to expose his own ceremony as rigged, then he'd literally suffer the consequences right after. I was thinking that Kyara would determine the vial that was untouched as water and let it continue that way, but that makes no sense because Yakou can call him out on that one.

As for what Yakou had known all along, am I right in thinking it's that he always wanted to be number 0 himself, and it's not because of Baku or anyone else, but instead to witness the best as their referee?

@marcyvq he is. A member's exclusive referee is the one presiding on the day that person receives their Kakerou membership. Kaji got Yakou as his referee during the building arc, making him his referee, but he also wagered his life to Baku when his mom gambled against Baku. Baku got his membership during the Hangman arc, making Yakou also his exclusive referee
