Maybe Vincent benefits in some way from having Robert outside of his team?

It's just a bit hard to believe he'd have full confidence in winning that bet. At least, enough to propose such a dangerous wager without having some type of contingency plan or ulterior motive with one of his allies being kicked off.

The batch will last till 353!

@saxifraga
Hm, that's interesting. It was mentioned that there are criminals that live on the island outside of the rules, so perhaps he'll be acting behind the scenes like that? But I don't think Kakerou would let that happen since it was an official bet to have him exiled.

I was so hyped for Robert K, since Lalo said he was his ace, so he must be even better than Caracal if he wasn't exaggerating. I'm really hoping that there's more to him.

@Hellsau
I had the same thought! So many other manga would make the fight unnecessary long and seesaw back and forth.

Considering Lalo mentioned the developers, maybe he is planning in hijacking them, I guess. Getting Robert K to be kicked maybe is part of that plan.

it's been such a long time since we've seen kyara truly in action, i'm glad he's still a monster. it would have been weird to see him struggle here.

it's also weird that we had this nearly unstoppable machine in Caracal with such buildup, and then Voja in the last arc, but Lalo's "ace" goes down here? I'm not buying it, and I'm not buying that this was an unexpected turn of events for him. Jonglyo's been fighting Kyara this entire time, surely he knows how strong he really is.

Maybe Lalo's plan here is to get more heat and exposure on Usogui's team and Kyara? Like he said, the Developers are going to take notice of their movements, if Lalo's team gets hurt on the surface and he "loses", maybe he'll have to deal with the developers less since Usogui is suddenly the one who is amassing more wealth quicker.

Baku looking like he's about to eat up Lalo in that last panel.

If it's a basic plan of having them move in the background, or even move around in Japan more freely while a good force of Kakerou is refereeing this match, I'm sure both Baku & Lalo have a similar or the same idea. I wonder if there is anything special about Lalo's particular idea where he could hide something from Usogui, perhaps a piece of info about Protoporos or even a juicy connection that he already has over him.

I'm really curious who Lalo placed his 3k bios bet on, since chances are he didn't actually put it on Robert K. Maybe he had it on one of the Hunters instead? Robert K. may have been knocking Hunters out to prevent them from getting a higher point score than the one Lalo bet on. Although, do the Hunters' rates even matter when an Untouchable clears the round?

As for Robert K. being removed from the Ban, how would we even go about getting slaves off the island? The Referees would likely need to force the matters, since the "developers" aren't likely to approve of letting him go in the first place.

Lalo's plan is pretty obvious. He knew Robert would lose and wants to have him sent off the island so he can send reinforcements since he knows crucial details of where the ban was posted.

@dbpop Exactly. This is a move straight out of Usogui's book. Normally, Kakerou would try to have Robert remain on the island, to ensure that the location of the island will not be found by Ideal.
However, due to Vincent losing this bet, Kakerou now has an obligation to get Robert out of the island, despite putting them in a situation, where the location might be leaked and they will need to protect the island against Ideal forces.

Btw, I bet Usogui is aware of this plot and will use it to his advantage in the future.

Getting his ally to leave the ban and call for reinforcements for 100 000 bios.... This is quite cheap.
I like Lalo already.

But I wonder why Robert K has a mask on.
It's like the author doesn't want us to see his face yet. Have we seen him already, or a relative?

At first I thought Robert K could have been Martin since I thought he might have survived the Tower match, but looking back at when he kills Caracal it seems like he didn't make it either somehow; there's two bodies there. He also wasn't a super proficient fighter like Robert seems to be either. So my assumption is Robert K is probably just the guy who cornered Karl and stole the money, though I'm still not entirely sure why his face is obscured the entire time.

It was nice to see a cameo of Voja in that shot of the shadowy Robert K too.

Gotta admit, that wager really amped up my excitement for the fight. It's almost a shame it ended so quickly.
