I only theorized it as far as having HAL force a conclusion by the 23rd and causing them to both be screwed, but didn't bother thinking of all the ways they could skirt their away around it (theorized it the instant they said the Kaiser only lasts 7 days so before all the rules were revealed anyway).

Of course I dropped any semblance of that idea in laziness later since there is always too much chaos in this series.

Guessing Lalo is gonna plan to just ice Baku ASAP with his allies causing one hellstorm between the refs, the devs, & Ideal.
Also, if HAL really was thinking the same thing, he would also know he has to still prevent Usogui's crowning and a 2nd Kaiser within the one day, I feel he should be taking action more directly for it.

May I ask for batch size?

It was brought up that Lalo locked himself out, but no one in the comments seemed to realize that Baku and his allies would end up being the Kings. Which is reasonable, I don't think anyone expected Hal to ultimately actually side with Baku to force the Kaiser early. A lot of this current plan hinges on the fact that all of the other level 80s will be taken out of the island. The question from here ends up being: What will happen to Nobuko; will Hal force her off the island to comply with Baku's plan? If there are hidden level 80s as well that only the devs are aware of, then maybe those will post a problem as well.

Leave it to Baku to turn a situation around like it's absolutely nothing.
Of course, Lalo clearly hasn't taken this lying down, given what we've seen, so there looks to be a lot left to go.

Oh my God! Looks like Baku have been planning for this for ages, is this the Plan B he mention sometime ago when he want to take over the outlaws? I'm just wondering why Leader will help Baku. The only reason I can think of is that Baku have less power than Lalo. Lalo have money, influence and allies, and we all saw how much he's willing to do to win when come up with the immortal slave plan. He's definitely more dangerous to gamble the "surpassing the leader" with than Baku. And after all, the enemy of my enemy is my friend.

@Veshv Lalo probably won't take this lying down but since he had done a lot of stuff that is clearly against the rule(Of the dev), he is not gonna have it his way.

This is truly the most galaxy brain moment of the series so far

That was a fantastic twist!
But there's something I still don't fully get.
This chapter heavily implies (page 13) that Baku let the "Protoporos Dynamite" event be leaked, to lure Lalo into becoming the kaiser at the worst possible timing, So why the hell did Baku say that it should NOT have been discovered, 2 chapters ago? https://mangadex.org/chapter/789265/9

For now, the only way I can understand it is the following:
I read too much into this chapter, and the colosseum event was never made to lure Lalo into anything. If Baku thought Lalo would take action on the 23rd, it's just because - as the chapter says - it's the ideal day to take down the weaker kingdom.
Moreover, Baku didn't want Lalo to know about him trying to get lv.80 allies, since it would hint at his true plan. But somehow, Lalo learnt about Champ and Ryuusei anyway, used this knowledge to deduce Baku's plan, prepared a counter of some sort that we have yet to see in action, and then acted like he felt into his trap. That's why, several days later, BK is in a bad situation and regrets that his trump card was leaked to the enemy.

Did I understand anything wrong? (it would not be the first time ^^')
