I kinda want kadokura to win just cause he's probably the strongest referee of the newer generation and this whole arc be it the leaders or the referees is about the older ones being surpassed. I get yakou will probably win tho cause him and Usogui are tied to the hip.

I was thinking the same thing actually. It would also fit with the whole downfall vs death thing. Even if he loses he planted the seeds within Kadokura to make him change.

So then as long as you had one handkerchief, not necessarily your own, you were still counted as in?

Well at least the author didn't disappoint. When it started a lot of people speculated that Yakou had a second handkerchief that would also be valid for the fight. It would have felt cheap to go that road.
Instead Yakou swapped it out with a normal one and outplayed Kadokura.

It seems like given how the fight was setup Yakou is going to win, not by a large margin, but it seems clear that Yakou is the author favorite to win this one.
I understand everyone wants Yakou to be the one to win, but also feel like Yakou is no longer suited to preside over the both of them due to his injuries.
In his first fight against Kadokura he couldn't do anything against him.

We don't know how much of "being unable to do anything to Kadokura" was an act on Yakou's part. The fact does remain that he was fast enough to swap the handkerchiefs literally right in front of Kadokura.
Additionally, they did both land one hit on each other, which is why they're both one hit away from the shock for this second faceoff.

@Veshv That's a really good point actually yeah. Yakou could have been deceiving him completely in that first fight. I still want Kadokura to win this one, but he'll probably lose. And I'm more ok with Yakou winning now that you've said that.
