I just read a book where the main character could detect lies, but the book did not use her power at all or even tried to be creative with the power in any way. So I am glad to find that it is not the case in this series. There are so many different views taken into consideration, and I like how they present the cases. Even if you know it is a lie, you can't tell what is the truth.

It's kind of realistic to see this girl who has never really left her home, and what she knows grappling with the realties and uncertainties that come with life.

@sockerdricka can you tell me the name of the book? And maybe some explanation on why you think they introduced her ability in the first place if they're not gonna use it? I'm curious. It sounds like bad writing cuz a cool trait was introduced but treated merely like an accessory.

Not to be that person but my religion led me to believe, if someone begs us for money, just donate it if you can. There is no need to be wary that he/she is a scammer or not. What he/she does with the money is between them and God. The most important thing is to lend someone the help they claimed they needed. We will still get the good deeds, and it's up to them what they do with the money.

Of course, do this when you are sure of your own safety.

The perspective used in this manga is great. Through understanding of other peopke, Kanoko get to understand her own power as well as to trust other.
