1. Create a single superkid
2. Put kid under care of a robot it will grow attached to
3. Program the robot so that when the kid grows up it will kill itself potentially giving the kid lifelong trauma for their super duper important mission
4. ???
5. Profit!
Why do you assume anything went according to plan here, they literally said she was the only one that made it and they panicked and brought her to a special facility

It's like FMA but if they didn't want to raze the house and instead their mother's corpse dug itself out and started the fire before climbing back into the grave.
It could always get worse. I don't know how, but the author's very skilled in that department.

i really doubt the robot/facility was pre-set to just kick the only successful test subject out the door as soon as they confirmed everything was working correctly lol, i 100% believe the robot let its ingrained 3 Laws the old-world robots still abided by override any other shady shit and, true to the 3 Laws, #1 took priority over everything else... meaning the orders it received were so shady that it had to not only ignore #2, but also violate #3 with extreme prejudice just to make sure that nothing bad happened to the poor kid (and a lifetime of potential trauma was basically considered not even a consequence compared to the other possible outcomes lol)- whether it was out of emotion or simple programming priority or both, that can be up to personal interpretation imo, but i like to think that it shows that this single-success eternal child program was a serious fluke & even if the robots aren't considered to have "real" emotions in this world then it must've considered the completely untested mind-overwrite shit statistically overwhelmingly closer to straight-up murder than anything else, these fools' plan was hilariously harebrained & likely diabolical to the point of seeming like parody
