lol that last page with the Akira throne. so silly haha
and yeah suddenly skipping to him creating 100 nigo clones in secret is very shibatarian. makes the manga less grounded. I'd prefer the more tactical side of having an evil doppleganger, like nigo framing ichi for things. just using brute force with hundreds of clones is a bit much
I feel like this can only go on another 2 or 3 volumes if nigo grows his clones this quickly.

also, if nigo can survive a huge door stabbing entirely through his chest, then does that mean that the other clones would have survived their gunshot and circular saw wounds if they hadn't been burned to death?

It's too much too soon. This manga was at its best with the psychological torment aspect between Nigo and Ichigo when their relationship was more ambiguous. The initial element of horror, of not even knowing what Nigo was or what he wanted should have been expanded upon and relied upon more to keep ramping up the tension. Instead, in just a few chapters, we went from horror mystery hybrid to goofy fight sequences.

This story is a bit like how Summertime Render threw away its sublime horror-mystery beginning and devolved into endless and pointless generic battle scenes by the end. And there is a sprinkling of that element of Future Diary in here too where crazy shit happens but it doesn't hit hard because it feels too stupid to make you actually feel anything.

Seemed pretty obvious he'd survive? Given they can grow a whole body from a pinky, how would you honestly expect to outpace their recovery? Even if that body itself died, I'd expect every blood puddle to become a whole new one, etc. Really, watching every part of the body burn away would be the best hope of actually eliminating one.

Yeah, as soon as I saw that I was like "check out this Tetsuo looking motherfucker right here!"

It's obvious that Ichigo will have to make his own clones and we're gonna get more shonen battles smh

I still prefer the initial psychological horror/thriller mix of Fight Club's philosophy mixed with the plot of Dostoyevsky's The Double. Shame half the manga out there goes the shonen route eventually.
