human female average healthy bodyfat percentage range is something like 21-35%
Commercial pigs are raised at optimal growth rates with feed rates set to avoid wasting too much energy storing it as fat instead of growth. optimal slaughter bodyfat percentage is somewhere around 15-20% though asian pig breeds are a little different and generally fatter. though if you grow them to heavy weights such as for ham they will be fatter.
So it seems unfair call them as fat as human women...

@subliminal They compared them to models. You know, those people known for being (in my opinion unhealthily) slim.

@wymar
According to here 21% is the healthy female minimum https://tanita.eu/blog/healthy-body-fat-percentage/ so your 15% pig is slimmer.

@ZeroR3 The stereotype for women is "We want to be slimmer, health be damned." so in the context of it supposedly being a compliment his point stands.

As for the chapter, I liked it. Animals are used as insults so often... I used to come to weird conclusions like this as a kid and end up confusing/hurting someone too. To make matters worse I didn't have someone like Takashi around, so a lot of it went uncorrected.
