I don't believe so. Rather, she might already consider the vigilante to be her own product. She's highly arrogant and domineering. She's a fan of nobody but herself. The vigilante was the tool she used to basically assume control of a whole production at the TV station, despite being nothing but a newbie there. The manager is already at her beck and call, along with the other staff. A bit early to say, but I reckon she's a classic narcissist who doesn't really care about anyone but herself. So, she naturally wishes for the vigilante to keep going, without getting caught, for as long as the audience shows strong interest. She would probably observe the fluctuation of public interest and try to inject higher profile criminals onto the vigilante's plate if needed. Finally she must want to end it personally, while still at the top of the charts, and be the one to reveal who the vigilante is. Exclusive interviews and all that included.
