Thanks for the chapter.
Didn't the first Vigilante end with him going with the big cop to South America to learn to chill on his law-breaking? Why does he break laws harder now?
You can take a horse to the water but not force it to drink, I guess 😬
Jokes aside, I doubted Jo Heon would be able to make a good case for someone like Jiyong to stop breaking the law after he saw what dirty cops and corrupt politicians can do behind the façade of the law. He lost his best friend to them. If anything, Jo Heon trained Jiyong in marksmanship before going to South America, which means now our protagonist is even more skilled and powerful than before.
He does seem more cautious now, if only because his duties as a commissioned police officer don't leave much time for him to go after small-timers. And during one of their train conversations, Gang-ok did ask him whether he was worried about Jo Heon getting wind of his resumption of vigilantism.
I gotta say, though, I'd like to see Jiyong show how skilled he is as a cop, just to shut up those senior cops who look down on him as a greenhorn who got into their unit through connections. But I guess he needs to play the silly rookie to avoid any suspicions.
