Okay, this is an infinitely better chapter, my god. The king and queen seem like reasonable characters, not just some tropes obsessed with being annoying. So, immediately, chapter 2, shifting away from the academy was a good choice. Let's see if it goes back. Although, at least now, she has the recognition of the royal family.

I like the pacing, and there's a lot to see in a single chapter. It's really good so far
