@ He wanted he to take his hand so he could help he get into the carriage that's why his hand is outstretched, he looks shocked because he thinks she purposely ignored him which is why he's upset. But it's more likely that he or anyone has never done this for her and so she doesn't understand it.
Yup, and I'm not quite sure anymore, but I think in the novel she gets help from a guard(?) or the coachman, to get into the carriage. So the guy was pissed he wasn't picked to help her get into the carriage.
@SunnyLight
I wouldn't say they don't deserve it yet... I mean they haven't really crossed any major lines (abuse, rape, etc) they've just failed to see how their actions affect another life (so a minor... no medium form of neglect) and the rest was left to the butterfly effect.
Im 97.9% positive that her dress choice and maybe even her choice to keep Emily is what made his favorability rise. Also he reached his hand out to help her up into the carriage ( a very classic gentlemen thing to do especially for nobility) but Im 99.9%(could be wrong but it's unlikely) that no one has ever done this for/to her. Whether it be in her first life or this one and so she has no idea what to do/doesn't understand what it is so she overlooks it.
Lol ingore him some more, he's actually upset about it. I'd only address him as young Master even after he gets a higher likeability and wants be be called brother
I’m with Sunnylight here. They should be punished because this is 100% abuse. I mean, she is trying to avoid being murdered by every male member of her family just for...existing. If that’s not extreme abuse on every level, I don’t know what is. And neglect can be abusive too, but this isn’t neglect. Everyone is actively making her life terrible.
@Binary10011 Nope, as the flashbacks show, Penelope used to be much nicer before the necklace accident, and the novel really confirms that she was a positive nice character before constant unending abuse, they are just interested because her personality suddenly shifted.
Basically, the novel goes even further in stating that this family is not very nice.
Uhhh "let's try dying" doesn't sound so good, penelope pls reconsider. Also that crown prince is bad news bruh
I freaking laughed my ass off when derrick looked so miffed that penelope didn't accept his hand to help her in the carriage. Mah bruh you've never done it before so why would penelope do it?
