Idk I feel like bucci gang should focus on other projects since this one is clearly being well taken care of

I dunno, their translation seems better to me. I was confused by some dialogue in Asura's version, but now it makes sense. Speed vs Quality

While I generally prefer quality over quantity, in this matter I would say I prefer Asura because of their consistency. It has been 2 months. And while there are minimal errors in their scans, the more important thing for me is to read the chapters because I really really love this one.

And I don't think it should be considered sniping if it's already been 2 months without updates? Maybe they should've left a note or something. But then again, if you can't deliver consistently even if it's voluntary work, I guess it's inevitable someone else will pick it up.

IMO I side with asura in this. I get the whole "sniping is a bad thing" argument and I agree that to an extent that is 100% true, but 2 months of not a single word or chapter after that point I just don't view it as "sniping" at that point. I just don't view it as good for a group to have complete control over a series if they aren't doing anything with it, as they completely broke their schedule with their usual releases. If they had said "hey we're taking a break" or "hey the next chapter will be late" or something I'd side with them on the matter but that simply didn't happen (at least through the official channels).

Naturally I understand this is voluntary work and we are by no means "owed" a chapter, I am incredibly thankful for the group for translating the chapters they did, but if you leave your project for two months without a word I can't blame another group for taking over nor get mad at them for doing so.

also this is just a personal bias but I would gladly take 17 moderately translated chapters over 2 perfectly translated ones but that's just me lolol

People got really entitled just because two months passed by huh? Dunno about you guys but titles should have been inactive for like, 4-6 months before taking over by a group. And its not even a hidden fact that both groups handling this were inactive due to school.

Instead of bitching for the speed? Whatever. Read their version. Its not like BUCCI or NASS earns money to put up with these complains.

@meeraishi people aren't mad at bucci/nass because they're slow, people are mad because they act like they own the exclusive right to work on their projects, hence creating this ""sniping drama'' and attacking the scanlation groups who simply picked up the projects they've abandoned.

Basically they pick up a project, abandon it for months, and cries 'snipe' when another group takes over.

Also, two months IS a long time for a manhwa with a large audience. 4-6 months? For less popular series, maybe.

I thought the general rule of thumb was if a group hasn’t updated in 3 months it was basically free. Kinda like an unspoken rule? Either way I just hope the groups talk it out privately. It sucks when scan group “drama” leaks onto to here just for the sake of winning over public opinion

@Chiiyuu it's like a kid in kindergarten leaving a toy to go play with another, then when another kid goes to play with the first toy, the first kid runs back and claims it's their's

It's hilarious people defending this by saying readers are "spoiled" because we can't wait 3 months for a new chapter.

Um...no, the spoiled people are the ones disseminating a work that doesn't even belong to them and acting like they own some sort of right to it.

There's no reason to fight between who's enjoying who's translation. Just choose whatever you prefer really. I understand when Bucci gone it's because publisher are trying to crack down on fan translation of this series, the translated novel got hit and have to be removed.

Understandable that new group would come and continue the series as it just isn't updated anymore. But let they solve it between both translators. No reason to flame it up.

Its not that i am in side with either scan group.. but i agree, Bucci scans should give some kind of info to readers whether there will be a late update, or completely stop picking this series... i mean... I dun say its their fault, they prolly busy or smth... but without any notice, I can’t blame other scan group if they decided to took this series over. Besides i am just a free-reader...a beggar cant choose which scans tht will continuing the series...

I agree that bucci really shouldve kept people updated, but its still sniping. Plus according to what ive heard...this other group is just gonna stop uploading here and keep later chapters behind a paywall later...plus their translation isnt even as good. So i’d rather wait for bucci than read asura’s stuff

I'm so worried about his relationship with her, though! He can't be okay after everything he experienced...I just don't want this to turn into something unhealthy. He should be 100% happy and free.

Wait, did I miss something? What's unrealistic about slaves in the middle ages? This setting is a time period that had slaves in real life, so if anything isn't it more realistic than pretending everything runs on the same moral code as modern society?
