Yeah, I dunno what people have a problem with; this remains entirely consistent with the themes and ideas this manga has had from the beginning. Feels like a continuation of those who had issues with the switch to Farmland Saga and want their violence free of a point or message. Which is fine, I read that shit all the time, but for this manga that has never really been the point.

This isn't proof that there isn't an afterlife, which wouldn't be an issue anyways because that as I said is thematically in line with literally everything the manga has done, just that this dude dying (note it is DYING and not actually dead yet) isn't seeing all the shit he expected to which shows how fucking stupid their point of view was regarding what constitutes honor and bravery and what's important in life. This is literally an experience thousands upon thousands have when they die in real life where they expect flights of angels to sing them to their rest and then right before they die they feel and see nothing.

Really you people are not complaining about the real flaw of this chapter, it was only 12 pages long!

really hits hard how most of those men are dying gruesome deaths for an afterlife they thought so real just to see nothing but your life escaping from you permanently

You know I actually really like how he switches perspectives and shows us the perspectives of random warriors, often to pass a message. Like how he did with the two men who were captured as prisoners of war about to be executed.

These moments with random people dying it's what makes me keep reading.
After the end of the anime I wanted to see more Farmland, but how many volumes of battles and violence this arc already took?

Very sad chapter I get the author is trying to say but kind of messed up at the same time this was basically their religion and it’s showing it was all a lie and wasn’t real
