It's kinda sad what happened to Thorkell.
In the first arc he was entertaining yes, but he was also very menacing and his love for war served as a clear contrast to the manga message.
But now the author completely degraded him to the mascot of the series, you can't even take him seriously anymore. Not to mention that after chapters like 154 the way the author makes him have so much fun without repercussions not only is really jarring it also devalues a lot of the point the series is trying to convey.

The first four pages was really heart warming (in a way) not gonna lie. And this is probably the only thing i love from this series, the way the mangaka make us empathizes a mob that never been introduced nor does have any important role in the plot. From that separated by war brothers, Olaf and his comrade last conversation before the execution, Baldr guards breaking the 4th wall, Thorkell warriors looking for Valhalla, and then this interaction of enemies after a war. This little thing is what make me stay on this manga.

I hope Grunt 1 and Grunt 2 live longer than this chapter for once and we find out what happens to their beautiful friendship as the story progresses

Someone already made the analogy but Thorkell really exudes that TFS Nappa energy,
