@azzyrex It's been over a year since I commented that... Anyway, I really like how the manga has been going lately. At the time this chapter came out, I just found it very unbelievable that they would just accept Thorfinn's authority when he pisses in the face of what they believe in. Seems out of character for them to just accept disrespect imo.

honestly big missed apportunity from the author, he could've had thorfinn lead them not to do violence, but to spread peace and go to Vinland with him. now they'll just join another viking band

Reminds me of how ISIL was created. The Shi'a Iraqi governments just up and shitcanned the Sunni military without pensions or anything. You can't just take thousands of professional and armed soldiers and say they're no longer welcome and can starve for all you care. It's not like they have sidejobs to return to, fighting is all they know.
