Why was everyone so mad about the timeskip? Reading about Thorfinn and his crew selling some horns in Constantinople would be boring, imo. A double spread page of the city and a panel of the crew selling their shit would've been enough. Then again, the mangaka owes you nothing. He promised Vinland, not Constantinople, and walking us through the whole journey of selling these horns, exploring Constantinople and other parts of Europe, would extend this arc even further, and for what? Nothing. Absolutely fucking nothing. It wouldn't contribute to the plot. It'd only appease your sorry-ass with useless filler and eye candy. And this arc wasn't that good (extending it would've made it even worse), so I'm just glad it ended and we're moving onto the next, and probably last, one.
