I was really excited to see them sell the horns but it's for the best that it didn't stretch out another 40 chaps

Well, I think the timeskip was really needed. It would be too long-winded to focus solely on Thorfinn's journey to sell the horn. And I am very satisfied with the development of the story this time. Seeing Thorfinn get married and has a family makes me happy.

So we missed them taking the marriage vows and an ENTIRE ARC in Constantinople? One of the biggest cities on earth at the time?! I'd pay money for the chapters of that 2 year gap.

Why was everyone so mad about the timeskip? Reading about Thorfinn and his crew selling some horns in Constantinople would be boring, imo. A double spread page of the city and a panel of the crew selling their shit would've been enough. Then again, the mangaka owes you nothing. He promised Vinland, not Constantinople, and walking us through the whole journey of selling these horns, exploring Constantinople and other parts of Europe, would extend this arc even further, and for what? Nothing. Absolutely fucking nothing. It wouldn't contribute to the plot. It'd only appease your sorry-ass with useless filler and eye candy. And this arc wasn't that good (extending it would've made it even worse), so I'm just glad it ended and we're moving onto the next, and probably last, one.

I feel like time skips and missing key moments is annoying but I think it’s also just to tell us nothing that exciting happen it sucks but what can you do
