Really nice build-up and conclusion from the previous two chapters. The fight ends with a battle that doesn't actually result in a death because Canute calms down Bjorn using the meaning of "love" that the priest said could only be achieved through death. This is probably a very heavy implication that Canute walk the path of becoming the true ruler of England as this clearly shows that his way of commanding is not through war but with peace. I'm sure Thorfinn will take note of that and learn from him since the two have developed a semi-close relationship with each other before this battle began.

You say that this battle isn't worth dying? So, when you get to know about the world what do you concor is worth dying for? Nothing, life in itself has no meaning than your own satisfaction.
