I don't get how the synopsis knows about some inner voice, as in the manga there is only one page (which suggest twitter, and twitter post comics dont tend to have synopses from the creator), and the only voice there was the mothers. I guess this one does tho.
@henman well in this case the voice shut itself down, literally, down the railing. So the boy is safe.
Usually, when ppl describe a voice telling them to jump/eat tasty stuff/make a snow angel, they are speaking metaphorically. Like, I recognize having an 'inner voice'/impulse to jump down tall places - that's normal for humans. But it is not an actual voice, it is just a mere impulse, and it is caught by the brain before it is neither actualized nor made a conscious thought. All that remains is that there remains a faint impression of "it would be swell to jump down that ledge, but I dont wanna, its likely unsafe". Self-preservation is a great trait to have when your brain loves coming up with fun activities you
can do, makes sense why evolution made everyone have it
