Oh man, what an incredibly humble developers. Thanks for the chapter!
Don't remember all the details from LN but reason bear was wound but not moving was because it's neck was broken. However, since creators hadn't considered full effects of a broken neck it resulted in a bug where the bear isn't dying instantly but is paralyzed. Also, while it's HP may recover slowly the break wouldn't heal so it's now a sitting duck. MC and others then tormented the poor thing by using it as a sandbag to practice skills and moves on to raise experience until they managed to finally kill it. Forget whether the bear suppose to be a newbie killer that shows when excessive hunting occurs or not.
Due to a low level MC killing the bear the creators nerfed a couple things because bear was suppose to be a boss need to defeat to open up a new area that's still under development. However, since the bear was expected to last longer before anyone was strong enough to kill it the creators are having to rush to finish the area and aren't happy about it but can't punish MC because no rules were broken and was a result of their own mistakes and misconceptions.
This brings me back... Was playing Ultima Online on a free-shard, 4 years of game play, leader of ~30 player respected player guild, tons of achievements, had a Tamer/Mage stacked like a oak, rode a legendary skeletal dragon which was hard as fuck to obtain (need to subdue it to low HP and needed Legendary level of Taming just to have 1% chance to tame and HP recovered). Had a quirk to explore, mark a lot of interesting places, it's a hobby.
Once noticed a glitch in an area, decided to teleport with a spell, managed to pass into a admin area Green Acres where they tested new quests and whatnot. Didn't tell anyone, but went there few times, was caught and... they freaking banned my ass. Devs even deleted my house which was a guild hall with my numerous rare shit.
Everyone was pissed, guildees protested, ban hammer rolled out.
No remorse.
