I think it's time to bust out the salt guys.

I spent way more time than I should have making that gif because I was obsessed with keeping it as high quality as possible, which gif is an infamously terrible format for, without making it huge in size. For reference, max quality 1080p was like 60 MB versus the 10 I cut it down to. (Support for APNG/AVIF when?)

Also had to adjust its length a lot so it would reasonably keep you hanging while also jump at you before you decided to move pages (since there's no audio with a gif it's harder to tell something's going on). I hope it caught some folks. I must have readjusted and exported 15 of them before I got the one I think worked best, and even now I'm still not 100% sure but, at this point, it is what it is lol. People with slower connections probably didn't appreciate it much; my apologies. I also hope reddit didn't somehow mess it all up (I didn't test upload it beforehand).

And you know what the best part is? I didn't even have to do any of this work because the author themselves converted the video into a few stills for pixiv/Amazon since those don't support gif/video (and if reddit or mangadex didn't support gifs I might have gone with that tbh). But I liked the original video presentation so much I put it in my head that I had to replicate it in some capacity, so here we are. Worth.

If anyone's curious, the tools used were yt-dlp to download the video, ffmpeg to grab every single frame from it, and gifski (CLI) to combine the frames to my liking while preserving a much quality as possible. And no I don't do any kind of work like this regularly, I literally learned all this from scratch for this sole purpose (lots of stack overflow searching was had).
