So she lost her mother almost 6 months before the start of the story? Seems a bit too recent although she doesn't look like the actually overcame that. May her mother was one of the first victims and Kanali was another one?
But if her family knew it was her possessed, why let her go to live by herself alone? Maybe the demon starts manifesting every 6 months and calms down when it kills some woman?

But fuck Crow. That's not the way you tell somebody who is clearly distressed about it and lost her mother in that incident. No matter if he's funding an entire new house with those superchats. He's even weirder now that he can say full sentences.
