I enjoyed this series, it was an intersting take for a WW2/post war story

war stories about how war affected from perspective local communities far away from the frontline is very fresh take. they are also not shy away from how fucked up war affected them even when they are not battlefield, very strong anti-war message. it's also clean from whitewash and jingoism of japan government right wing often did, which is a plus. the weakness is that the atrocities and gruesome nature of war often skipped, probably to keep manga PG, but also make it less impactful. still very solid short historical drama series. 8/10.
