I actually turn off auto-rotate so it stays vertical so I can use it in bed, it's annoying when the screen rotates in the middle of scrolling or really doing anything honestly. Heck most things you fullscreen will just rotate automatically anyway too, at least youtube does.

If your phone has it, there's a setting under auto-rotate called "Face Detection", which uses your phone's front camera to detect your face, so if you're laying in bed on your side reading something, it won't rotate, even with auto-rotate on, so you don't have to worry.
