i'm also interested in the scale of the world. it took him 2 weeks by horse, but was it a casual ride on a coach, or did he sprint through the world for 2 weeks.

as for the girl.. maybe she should try her hands at the other saints.. see how that goes.. instead of blindly being enraged against a single foe she just met for no apparent reason. but i bet she met MC before, the usual trope..

How is that refuse twice to automatically lose implemented? If she asked him a second time right after, would that be it, or does it have to be a separate meeting, etc? Plus, he said he didn't care about the rank, so that's clearly the reason he had been 7th before she joined; pretty sure he was literally offering the rank to her, and that further pissed her off, but if she was against non-combat methods, why did she even bring up the twice decline lose rule?

Little late on this one. I would assume the next meeting tbh because otherwise the 2 times wouldn't really matter, or maybe there's just an unmentioned period and no meeting is required.
As for why she brought it up, it was quite obvious it was meant as intimidation or pressure because it would work spectacularly on her if she was in that position, with all the pride and desire for recognition she has. She even uses the wording "running away" twice for declining because she genuinely believes he'd be someone to desperately hold on to a title higher than 7th. That was intentionally set up in the scene for light amusement with her being shocked by the initial dismissal.
