I remember google translating the Spanish scanlation from a while ago just to see if this is worth making a scanlation post over, and I was thoroughly confused. After reading this chapter, I am still thoroughly confused, but I suppose this is just classic Aokishi chapter 1 pacing.

For instance, why is there snow everywhere? Why do shadows come out of corpses, and why does someone want to buy corpses? Why are shadows dissipated by heat? Why does this series feel so lewd? Why is Nejiri's power busting it?

Anyway. The art is great, the character design of Yobi is fantastic, and the world seems to be unique. If things develop properly, I think this will be an enjoyable read.
